Disc Mixer Definition
A disc mixer, also called a vertical or pan mixer, is a machine used to mix raw materials to make fertilizer. The main part of the machine is a big, spinning disc with arms that mix everything together. This makes sure that all the ingredients, like manure, compost, chemical granules, or additives, are mixed together evenly. The vertical design and strong construction make it perfect for making both organic and compound fertilizers, ensuring that nutrients are spread evenly in every batch.
Key Features
High Mixing Efficiency: Equipped with a cycloidal gear reducer and robust mixing arms, the disc mixer achieves thorough and even blending of diverse raw materials, ensuring high-quality fertilizer output.
Non-Sticky Design: The mixing disc is lined with polypropylene or stainless steel, preventing material adhesion and ensuring abrasion resistance for long-lasting performance.
Compact Structure: Its vertical design minimizes floor space requirements, making it ideal for both small and large-scale fertilizer production facilities.
Smooth Operation: Tight sealing between components ensures stable, low-noise operation, enhancing workplace safety and comfort.
Flexible Feeding and Discharging: Features top feeding and bottom discharging for seamless integration with belt conveyors and other production line equipment.
Customizable Capacity: Available in various models to handle capacities ranging from 2 to 12 tons per hour, catering to diverse production needs.

Disc Mixer Working Principle
The Disc Mixer uses a vertical rotating disc that is powered by a motor and a cycloidal gear reducer. The raw materials are fed into the mixing chamber through the top inlet. As the disc rotates, the agitating shaft and mixing arms, which have blades made of a high-wear-resistant alloy, create a dynamic mixing action. This action forces the materials to move in both radial and circular directions, ensuring they are thoroughly blended. The specially designed disc lining (polypropylene or stainless steel) prevents materials from sticking, keeping the mixing environment clean. Once the materials are mixed together well, they are sent out through the bottom opening, ready for the next step in making fertilizer.
